Frequently asked questions about standard sliding automatic doors
Find answers to the most common questions about the characteristics, installation and maintenance of this product.
Its operation is fairly simple. On the standard automatic sliding door motion sensors are installed that, when they detect someone approaching the door, cause it to open. After a few seconds it closes, once the person leaves the area defined by the software of the electronics that controls the whole system.
Automatic doors typically use motion sensors and/or presence sensors (safety). The motion sensor triggers an opening and closing cycle of the door when the device detects movement within its detection area; it is also able to detect whether the object is approaching or moving away, minimising the opening time and the consequent energy saving.
The presence sensor prevents entrapment when the door closes: it detects a person or object, keeping the door open while it is within its detection area, or reopening it if it has begun to close. When this zone is clear, the door will close safely.
Additionally, and in accordance with standard 16005, lateral sensors can be installed to prevent the entrapment of hands when the moving leaf slides past the fixed part of the door.
