Environmental commitment: sustainable access

At Manusa we believe that technological innovation and respect for the environment must advance together. We design efficient and sustainable automatic and industrial doors throughout their entire life cycle.

Open to sustainability

Creating social and environmental value in the medium and long term to contribute to people’s wellbeing is one of our objectives. At Manusa we are committed to promoting energy efficiency through our product to do our bit for a more sustainable, cleaner and environmentally responsible future. We work day by day on the improvement and development of our products, manufacturing responsibly and refining our systems so that they provide lower consumption and greater energy savings in the closing of spaces.

Environmental product declaration

Manusa has an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for the product families Visio+ 100 and Visio+ 125, a recognition that reflects our efforts to offer more sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions. The Environmental Product Declaration is an internationally recognised certification that ensures transparency in the analysis of a product's environmental impact throughout its life cycle. This analysis includes all stages: from the extraction of raw materials, through manufacture and use, to the final disposal or recycling of the products. By obtaining this EPD, we reaffirm our commitment to transparency and responsibility towards the environment and society.

Recyclable and responsible materials

More than 90% of the components of our Visio+ automatic doors are made from materials that can be recovered or recycled at the end of their service life:

To guarantee absolute transparency, our traceability system monitors virtually all of the resources and energy used in the manufacturing process.

Frequently asked questions about our environmental commitment

Quickly discover how our automatic doors contribute to energy efficiency, the reduction of environmental impact and sustainable design across their entire life cycle.

At Manusa we believe that innovation and sustainability must progress together. For this reason, we design and manufacture sustainable automatic doors that ensure accessibility, energy efficiency and a reduced environmental impact throughout their life cycle. Our objective is to contribute to people’s well‑being and to the care of the planet.

Our automatic doors are equipped with high-efficiency motors and inverter technology (VV-VF), which reduce electrical consumption and optimise the use of energy during each opening and closing. In addition, they help maintain the interior temperature of buildings, improving thermal insulation and reducing the overall energy footprint.

The Product Environmental Declaration (EPD) is an international certification that analyses the environmental impact of a product over its entire life cycle. At Manusa, our product families Visio+ 100 and Visio+ 125 hold a EPD, which reflects our commitment to transparency, traceability and sustainability across all our processes.

More than 90% of the components of VISIO+ automatic doors are made from recyclable or recoverable materials. We mainly use glass and aluminium, which account for up to 90% of the product, in addition to recyclable steel and electromechanical components. This ensures a responsible lifecycle and a reduced environmental impact.

We carry out a complete life cycle assessment (LCA) covering everything from the extraction of raw materials to end-of-life recycling. This approach allows us to identify, measure and reduce environmental impacts at each stage, ensuring responsible manufacture, long service life and efficient maintenance.

Manusa is certified to the ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 9001 (quality management) standards. These certifications ensure that our operations and products comply with the highest international standards for efficiency, quality and respect for the environment, consolidating our leadership in responsible innovation.
