Automatic doors in residential building refurbishment projects
The presence of automatic doors in residents' associations is an increasingly demanded solution. This project, which we at Manusa carried out in a block of flats in Felipe II street in Barcelona, stands out for the installation of an automatic swing door and a side-opening automatic sliding door.

The residents' association raised the need to improve security and access control to the building, especially at the entrance, where previously anyone could gain unrestricted access. In addition, they were looking for a solution that would facilitate access for residents and authorised personnel, such as the postman, without compromising the security of the rest of the building.
To meet these needs, we installed an automatic swing door at the main entrance to the block of flats, equipped with a conventional lock to allow the door to be opened in the event of an emergency or power failure. This door allows access from the street via an RFiD card reader, an object-to-object identification system using radio frequency, ensuring that only residents can enter.
In addition, a second side-opening automatic sliding door was installed with a fixed and bare profile, which also opens via RFiD card and is also fitted with a conventional lock. To prevent incidents, we included some vinyls on the door leaves, one green for the mobile leaf and the other red for the fixed leaf.

The advantages of automatic doors for the community of neighbours
The installation of these Manusa automatic doors in this residential building located in Felipe II street in Barcelona brings multiple benefits to the community of neighbours:
- Increased security: the RFiD technology guarantees that only authorised persons can access the restricted areas, improving the general security of the building.
- Controlled access: the postman can only access the mailbox area, without the possibility of entering the area leading to the homes, which reduces the risk of intrusion.
- Convenience and efficiency: residents enjoy quicker and more convenient access via the RFiD card, without the need to carry physical keys.
- Flexibility in case of emergencies: the conventional lock allows doors to be opened manually in case of power outages or emergency situations, ensuring rapid evacuation of the building.
