What are the temperature limits for this type of door?
It can withstand temperatures as low as -35ºC, as long as the temperature differential between one side and the other is a maximum of 25ºC, and the relative humidity is not greater than 30%. For doors that have extreme thermal requirements (-30ºC), there is also a series of resistance heaters that keep the door in optimal working conditions.
Where can a cold-room door be installed?
They can be installed where it is necessary to not break the cold chain, such as rooms where deep-frozen products are stored. This type of door offers high energy savings, given that it helps to minimise the possible loss of temperature, and to considerably improve the handling processes of any items in the cold rooms.
If I install this door in a cold room, can I dispense with the sliding panel door?
No, the high-speed door does not provide the same insulation as the cold storage door. The cold room door is designed to be used for unloading and loading operations in the rooms, not as a cold-enclosure door. When there is no loading/unloading being undertaken, the cold room sliding door should remain closed and the high-speed door in the open position.
