Automatic doors in the new facilities of the Odrex Medical Centre in Ukraine
The Odrex Medical Centre is the leading private healthcare complex in southern Ukraine. It was designed using the most advanced international medical expertise, with the aim of providing professional medical care to both adults and children.
The centre currently has more than 1,200 employees and 18,000 m² of facilities with 160 beds. It offers comprehensive outpatient, polyclinic, hospital and surgical services, with more than 4,500 types of medical services. These include an emergency department, a comprehensive medical testing laboratory, consultations with specialists in more than 50 disciplines, minimally invasive surgery, 24/7 traumatology, rehabilitation and physiotherapy.
In collaboration with Ukrainian distributor Parkan UA, Manusa installed several hermetic automatic doors in the centre. For this project, doors without vision panel were chosen because, although these are usually included to allow viewing of the interior, in this case patient privacy was prioritised.

To ensure contactless opening, Smart-prox proximity detectors were incorporated, allowing the door to be operated automatically without the need for physical contact. These devices can be connected via Manusa BUS or through a potential-free contact system, depending on the type of operator. Their elegant design, consistent with that of the Smart Selector, allows for surface and parallel installation. They also feature an indicator light that improves the user experience and an adjustable detection distance of between 5 and 35 cm.
The doors are equipped with the Visio+ Hermetic operator, specifically designed to guarantee high levels of airtightness thanks to its patented system of approximation and pressure of the leaf on the frame. It stands out for its technical performance, reliability and advanced technology, also incorporating IoT connectivity, which allows remote control and monitoring of the doors.
