The main automatic sliding door of the Daesang Inno Park in Seoul
Daesang is one of South Korea's leading food corporations with a strong global presence. The brand inaugurated the Daesang Inno Park research centre in the Magok district, west of Seoul, to be a pole for scientific and technological innovation in the food sector. Manusa, together with its distributor in South Korea, Tajima Korea, was in charge of installing an automatic door at the main entrance of the building.
The entrance to a state-of-the-art building such as Daesang Inno Park posed several needs that had to be met. The entrance had to allow the uninterrupted flow of people, which can sometimes be high, for example, at times of events or institutional visits. The entrance had to favour accessibility for people with reduced mobility or who may be carrying loads, and reconcile free transit with energy efficiency. And from an aesthetic point of view, it had to be integrated into the design of the building and convey an image of innovation in keeping with the centre's activity.
A transparent automatic door for an innovative centre
The solution installed by Manusa and Tajima Korea meets all these requirements. Located at street level, it provides freedom of access to the interior of the building, even at times of high traffic. It is a standard automatic sliding door, which offers the maximum opening speed on the market, without obstructing the passage of people in both directions. The door, which opens centrally, meets accessibility requirements, as it does not require any manual operation, and incorporates an obstacle detection system for greater safety. In addition, its silent opening contributes to the feeling of comfort in the centre’s reception area.
The glass of the leaves and its simple design facilitate the brightness of the lobby and enable a clear view from both inside and outside the building, while conveying a sense of elegance and innovation. Its transparency reinforces the access’s safety, facilitating visual supervision and creating a more open and welcoming environment. In addition, its transparent profiling also allows the door to be distinguished from the rest of the building's glazed surface, which has black framed windows.
Due to its opening and closing speed, the automatic door minimises draughts and internal air conditioning losses in the building, thus contributing to greater energy efficiency. At the same time, in a research centre, with laboratories and spaces that require a controlled environment, the solution provided by Manusa promotes greater stability of the internal temperature of the premises.
Thus, the installation of the Manusa automatic sliding door guarantees a comfortable, safe and efficient access, integrating the technological and avant-garde character of the Daesang Inno Park. An ideal solution for an environment where innovation and excellence are essential.
