Automatic door at the offices of Siqueira d'Avila Flores in Belo Horizonte

Siqueira d’Avila Flores is a reputable law firm in Brazil with offices in various cities across the country. One of its offices is located in Belo Horizonte, in premises whose interior design was created by the architecture and design studio Renata Machado e André Magalhães. Manusa, in collaboration with its local distributor Manuminas, contributed to the project by installing an automatic door in the reception area of these offices.
The design of the environment presented several access related challenges. On the one hand, it was essential to preserve as much of the reception area as possible to facilitate smooth flow of people and maintain visibility between the reception and the offices. On the other hand, as this is a law firm that deals directly with the public, it was necessary to manage the flow of people entering the offices. Additionally, the design needed to incorporate clean, elegant lines while ensuring thermal comfort and proper separation between the entrance and the rest of the offices.
To meet these requirements, Manusa installed a standard single-leaf automatic sliding door, which is completely transparent and features no fixed panel. This design makes the most of the passage space and provides clear visibility on both sides of the entrance, enhancing the feeling of spaciousness. Moreover, the transparency of the glass allows the door to blend naturally into the carefully designed interior, aligning with the architectural firm's vision.
The strategic placement of the door, right at the entrance to the office area, makes its opening system an essential element in ensuring the safety of both people and facilities. To reinforce this aspect, the automatic door incorporates an activation accessory that regulates the entry and exit of visitors. This feature helps control access to work areas, maintaining a balance between safety and convenience in daily use.
The automatic door installed helps to optimise the climate control within the space. By creating an effective separation between the exterior and interior, and utilising an efficient opening and closing speed, this solution reduces air conditioning losses, which is particularly important in offices with high foot traffic. This improvement promotes better management of energy consumption.
The system operates silently, making it particularly suitable for professional environments where concentration and customer service are part of everyday life. This means that the door opens and closes discreetly, without generating noise or interfering with normal office activities, contributing, together with temperature control, to a greater sense of comfort.
Overall, the installed solution regulates access to the offices without visual or operational barriers. The automatic door acts as an element that structures the route between the reception and the workspace, providing control, comfort and efficiency in the daily use of the space, without altering the perception of openness and transparency.
