Environmental Product Declaration

The Manusa automatic door family with Visio+ operators, from the Visio+100 and Visio+125 range, have an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).

The EPD is a document in accordance with ISO 14025 that provides quantified and verified information on the environmental impact of a product throughout its life cycle: from raw material extraction to manufacturing, use, end-of-life, or product recycling.

It also provides added value for companies by offering additional potential in terms of building certifications that promote sustainability, such as LEED and BREEAM. All of this provides our clients with the assurance of installing a solution recognized within the European framework.

Contribution to LEED certifications

Our solutions also contribute to achieving international certifications such as LEED, which recognize the sustainability and efficiency of buildings.

A notable example is the integration of automatic doors in the BBVA Tower Buenos Aires, a project that achieved LEED Gold certification. In this building, six centrally opening automatic doors with fixed leaves and a full panic system were installed. These doors integrate into the architectural design, contributing to thermal comfort and energy optimization.

Another LEED Gold certified project in which Manusa participated is the KNEM offices in Barcelona, where standard centrally opening sliding automatic doors were installed. This project is an example of architectural renovation that combines industrial heritage, design, and sustainability.

Finally, at the Méndez Álvaro 31 Tower in Madrid, which has achieved LEED Platinum certification, the automatic doors installed inside the building form part of a global sustainability strategy, helping to reduce energy consumption and improve operational efficiency.
