Frequently asked questions about blast resistant automatic sliding doors
Manusa blast resistant automatic doors have been certified to ISO 16933:2007 standards through rigorous testing with explosions of up to 100 kg of dynamite. The tests involve a methodical procedure to determine the strength of the door at a given detonation. Upon completing the destructive testing, the door still worked correctly for its intended purpose.
The main function of the Manusa blast resistant automatic sliding door is to protect the premises and the people inside if there is an explosion. In the event of an explosion, when the sliding leaf (or leaves) is in the closed position it acts as a shield against the blast wave and prevents any projectiles from the explosion impacting on the other side of the door. They are perfectly suited to protecting hotel façades, banks, transport hubs, public buildings, shopping centres or any other institution or business premises where it is considered necessary.
